NuKleen Services Ltd whose principal place of business is at Unit 2, Abbey Grange Works, Roding Industrial Estate, Hertford Road, Barking, IG11 8BL, United Kingdom. Registered in England & Wales, Cardiff. Company No. 2910525 (hereinafter referred to as "NuKleen Services Ltd").
Applications are taken in writing either by post or email.
When working with NuKleen Services Ltd all employees must sign-in on-site by the event specific sign-in time and date as specified by information provided to you.
NuKleen Services Ltd - Terms and Conditions - General
If you have any queries regarding the NuKleen Services Terms and Conditions you should contact us in writing before submitting your application.
By completing and submitting an application you are agreeing to abide by the NuKleen Services:
Terms and Conditions;
Code of Conduct;
Policy & Procedures;
By completing and submitting an application you are agreeing that any photographs; video; sound recordings taken of you or by you may be used by NuKleen Services and the clients of NuKleen Services for any publicity.
For the safety of the general public and staff prior to arrival on-site, details of all applicants offered a position may be passed to the police to allow a Police National Computer (PNC) check to be performed.
When working with NuKleen Services you are working under a temporary employment contract. The specifics of positions with NuKleen Services vary dependant on the event. The initial briefing and training at each event forms part of your temporary employment contract, as does your agreement to work with NuKleen Services for the duration of the event. Any failure on the employee's part to meet with their terms of employment; policies and procedures; client’s rules and regulations; will result in forfeit of any remuneration and deposit paid; and result in the requirement to pay any costs to NuKleen Services that may have occurred.
NuKleen Services Ltd – Terms and Conditions – Deposits
Paying a deposit does not CONFIRM your position at an event; applications are assessed and positions offered after a deposit has been paid.
Part or all of your deposit may be withheld if you:
- Do not complete any shift allocated to you;
- Lose any uniform and/or equipment allocated to you;
- Miss your onsite briefing/s;
- Do not sign in onsite by the estimate start time and date and do not CANCEL at least 20 calendar days* prior to the estimate start time and date **.
- Breach the NuKleen Services Terms & Conditions;
- Breach the NuKleen Services Policies & Procedures;
- Breach the NuKleen Services Code of Conduct;
- Breach any NuKleen Services Client Rules and Regulations.
*For example, 20 calendar days prior to 20:00 on the 25th January would be 20:00 on the 5th January.
**Exceptions are made for extenuating circumstances such as illness where a written statement from a doctor can be provided; in such cases you must still CANCEL prior to the estimate start time and date.
You must either CONFIRM or CANCEL each position offered at least 20 calendar days prior to the estimate start time and date. If you neither CONFIRM nor CANCEL at least 20 calendar days prior to the estimate start time and date we will take this as an oversight on your part and you will be grouped with thus treated as all other CONFIRMED applicants. Example a) if you neither CONFIRM nor CANCEL at least 20 calendar days prior to the estimate start time and date; then CANCEL within 20 calendar days of the estimate start time and date; your deposit will be withheld and you will be blacklisted from future events.
Example b) if you neither CONFIRM nor CANCEL and do not sign in onsite by the estimate start time and date your deposit will be withheld and you will be blacklisted from future events.
If you apply to work at an event where the estimate start time and date is less than 20 days away you will be grouped with thus treated as all other CONFIRMED applicants.
E.g. if you apply to work at an event where the estimate start time and date is less than 20 days away then either CANCEL or neither CONFIRM nor CANCEL and do not sign in onsite by the estimate start time and date; your deposit will be withheld and you will be blacklisted from future events.
Deposits are returned in October via cheque or BACS; made payable to the account holder from which the deposit was originally received; posted to the address within your PAAM account at the time of return.
NuKleen Services takes no responsibility for any delay in returning deposits caused by postal services.
When returning non-cross border (UK) deposits that were originally paid to NuKleen Services via the online payment process; NuKleen Services deducts 3.4% +20p rounded up to the nearest GBP to cover costs incurred.
When returning cross border (non-UK) deposits that were originally paid to NuKleen Services via the online payment process; NuKleen Services deducts the costs incurred rounded up to the nearest GBP; this cost varies dependant on the country of origin.
If you do not gain a position due to failing a PNC check your deposit will be returned in October.
If you pay a deposit and CANCEL at least 20 calendar days prior to the estimate start time and date your deposit will be returned in October.
If you pay a deposit and CANCEL all positions applied for at least 56 calendar days prior to the estimate start time and dateof the first event applied for; subject to a £20.00 GBP administration fee you will be eligible for an early deposit return. Early deposit returns are processed on a monthly basis.
If you require a duplicate cheque to be sent this will be subject to a £10.00 GBP administration fee.
If you apply to work at more than one event; complete your shifts at one or more events; then CANCEL your position at any or all future events at least 20 calendar days prior to the next event's estimate start time and date; your deposit will be returned in October.
If you apply to work at more than one event; complete your shifts at one or more events; then CANCEL your position at any or all future events less than 20 calendar days prior to the future event/s estimate start time and date; NuKleen Services will return a percentage of your deposit. This percentage will be calculated using the ratio EVENTS COMPLETED:EVENTS CANCELLED.
E.g. if you apply to work at two events, complete your shifts at the first event, then CANCEL the second event less 20 calendar days prior to the event's estimate start time and date, 50% (after any online processing fees have been deducted) of your deposit will be returned in October.
If you apply to work at more than one event and do not sign in onsite for the first event by the estimate start time and dateand do not CANCEL at least 20 calendar days prior to the first event's ESTIMATE START TIME AND DATE; your deposit will be withheld and you will be blacklisted from future events.
You cannot swap an application between events.
NuKleen Services Ltd - Terms and Conditions - Employment Rights Act
The following information is a statement of the Terms and Conditions of employment under the employment rights act 1996.
- You are required to carry out your roles and responsibilities as detailed in the job description and position specification.
- Any previous employment with NuKleen Services or any other employer does not form part of a period of continuous employment. Each position is subject to a separate contract of service.
- Your place of work will be the address of the event and is where you are required to work. Details will be given to you on confirmation of position.
- Your employers address is the NuKleen Services principal place of business.
- You will be paid on the basis of an agreed rate per hour, shift, or event. This rate will be agreed with you at the confirmation of each position. This rate includes:
- Holiday pay at a rate of 12.07%;
- Payment of PAYE (where appropriate);
- Access to event activity (where appropriate).
- There are no enhancements to stated rates for Sunday or Public Holiday employment.
- Staff are responsible for their own travel and accommodation expenses.
- Your remuneration will be paid to you as agreed at the confirmation of a position. Payments are made in GBP using one of the following methods:
- BACS to an account of the named individual member of staff;
- Cheque made payable to the named individual member of staff.
NuKleen Services Ltd - Terms and Conditions - Hours of work
The hours of work are detailed in the specification for each position.
Volunteer workers are required to work 24 hours, in various shifts, during and/or immediately prior to or after the event. Volunteer shifts will be scheduled between the times of 08:00 Friday to 18:00 Monday. All volunteer shifts will be allocated and confirmed prior to the start date.
Paid workers are required to work a minimum of 8 shifts. These shifts will be scheduled prior to, during and after the event. All paid worker shifts will be allocated, where possible, prior to the start date
Your employment is for a fixed period linked to each position.
The NuKleen Services working week commences on Monday.
In the case of incapacity for work you will forfeit any offer of employment; any confirmed positions; and receive no remuneration. This is due to the nature of the positions being temporary fixed period.
NuKleen Services does not operate any pension schemes to employees contracted under a temporary fixed period.
Your employment contract is for a fixed term and expires at the end of each position.
Your employment and confirmation of position are temporary and can be withdrawn at any time due to any of the following reasons:
- NuKleen Services does not gain a contract of services at named event;
- The named event does not take place or is cancelled;
- You are in breach of the NuKleen Services Terms & Conditions; or NuKleen Services Policies and Procedures; or NuKleen Services Code of Conduct; or any NuKleen Services Client Rules and Regulations.
If you are dissatisfied with any disciplinary decision – you should apply in the first instance to the positions Operations Manager. You should make your application by speaking to the Operations Manager who will document your conversation.
If you have a grievance about your employment you should apply in the first instance to an Operations Director. You should make your application in writing to the NuKleen Services principal place of business.
NuKleen Services Ltd - Terms and Conditions - Access to Venues and Event Sites All NuKleen Services staff will be issued with an appropriate pass and/or wristband by the client of whom NuKleen Services is providing a service. This pass and/or wristband will enable the wearer to access those areas relevant to the position and responsibilities allocated. NuKleen Services reserves the right to replace lost or damaged passes and/or wrist bands at their own discretion. When off-shift, and where authorised by a License Holder, this pass and/or wristband may be used to access and participate in the event's public activities under the Terms and Conditions of the License. Any pass and/or wristband allocated will remain the property of the License Holder at all times.
Any pass and/or wristband is a functional tool that NuKleen Services staff and volunteers require to carry out their duties. The use of a pass and/or wristband to access and participate in an event's public activity forms part of the wearer’s remuneration. Breaching any License Holders Terms & Conditions; Policies and Procedures; Code of Conduct; Rules and Regulations will also be a breach of your employment Terms and Conditions with NuKleen Services.
NuKleen Services Ltd - Code of Conduct
NuKleen Services set out below a series of guidance notes which point towards good conduct but this list is not exhaustive and employees must always conduct themselves in such a way which will project the professional image of the Company
- Respect the culture and ethos of our customers, employees of the Client Organisation’s we work for, work colleagues and members of the public with whom we come into contact;
- Report to work in a timely manner wearing approved Company work wear and PPE requirements;
- Seek approval from your line Manager in advance, for any changes you may require to your established work schedule, including any occasion on which you wish to arrive late or leave early;
- Promptly report any absence from work including sickness absence;
- Perform the duties and responsibilities assigned to you, to the best of your abilities during the time you are at work;
- Never use foul, abusive or offensive language;
- Never use, threaten to use or offer violence of any kind, to any person, at any time;
- Always comply with the Company Drugs & Alcohol Policy and Procedures in regard to statutory control (down towards zero), of the use of alcohol and illegal drugs during work hours;
- Maintain any qualifications, certification, licenses, and/or training requirements identified for your post;
- Use all Company equipment and resources judiciously and only as approved;
- Support all initiatives that promotes a safe and healthy work environment;
- Complete all relevant documentation promptly and accurately;
- Work cooperatively with all Company employees to achieve work unit and/or Company goals and objectives.
- Always give customers first priority along with a ‘first class’ service when attending to their needs (this includes not answering mobile or other phones, or conducting conversations with other colleagues during customer interactions);
- Resolve work-related issues and disputes in a professional manner using relevant Company procedures;
- Meet or exceed established job performance expectations;
- Make work-related decisions and/or take actions that are in the best interest of the Company;
- Report promptly to management, any circumstances or concerns that may affect the statutory and/or satisfactory work performance of the Company including any inappropriate (fraudulent, illegal, unethical) activities of any one or more other(s);
- Conduct yourself at all times, in a manner that supports and promotes the good, professional image of the Company.
- NuKleen Services must be notified of any:
- Conviction for a criminal and/or motoring offence;
- Indictment for any offence;
- Police caution or legal summons.
